This guide aims to define the roles, responsibilities, and professional standards for the Editorial Board JAZU, an academic peer-reviewed journal that publishes research in various scientific fields.

Editorial Board Structure

The Editorial Board consists of:

- Editor-in-Chief

- Associate Editors (by specialty)

- Editorial Members from diverse disciplines

- Executive/Technical Editor

- External Academic Advisors (optional)

Responsibilities of the Editorial Board

1- Editor-in-Chief

- Supervise all editorial operations.

- Approve final decisions on article acceptance or rejection.

- Coordinate communication between the editorial team and reviewers.

2-Associate Editors

- Handle manuscript submissions in their areas of expertise.

- Recommend qualified reviewers.

- Provide recommendations to the Editor-in-Chief.

3-Editorial Members

- Review submitted manuscripts within their specialization.

- Adhere to ethical standards of peer review.

- Actively contribute to the journal’s development and promotion.

4-Executive/Technical Editor

- Coordinate administrative and technical aspects.

- Manage the journal’s publishing platform.

- Follow up with authors and reviewers regarding revisions.

Peer Review Standards

- Double-blind peer review is adopted.

-Evaluate manuscripts for originality, methodology, and scientific contribution.

- Provide constructive and timely feedback.

Publishing Ethics

- Reject plagiarism and duplicate submissions.

- Disclose any conflicts of interest.

- Maintain confidentiality of all parties involved in the publication process.

Meetings and Reports

- Hold regular meetings to assess editorial workflow.

- Prepare periodic reports on journal statistics and recommendations.

Editorial Membership Criteria

Final Decision for Publication

The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript is made by the editorial board after reviewing the peer reviewers’ reports and verifying that the necessary revisions have been completed. This decision considers scientific and ethical standards, as well as the manuscript’s alignment with the journal’s scope and objectives.

Publisher Role

The publisher is responsible for providing technical and administrative support throughout the publication process. This includes ensuring the integrity of the technical workflow for both print and electronic publication, enhancing the journal’s digital infrastructure, expanding its reach, and supporting its indexing in global databases in close collaboration with the editorial board.

Communication and Reporting

- Official communication is conducted via the journal’s email.
